LAUSANNE
Lausanne is the main city of the Canton Vaud. The historical center is one of the major attraction, where the Gothic architecture blends with the spectacular view of the Lake Geneva and the Alpine background. The Cathedral and its bell tower are one of the best location where to admire this panorama.
Lausanne is the city of the sports: many international associations have the headquarters here. Especially, it is an “Olympic Capital” and it hosts the interactive Olympic Museum. Thereby, one can take a lakeside walk in the Ouchy neighborhood, where ferry and small cruises leave off for the Lake Leman.
It is also a cultural pole that hosts several historical and art museums (e.g. Palais de Rumine, Collection de l’Art Brut, Plateform 10, Hermitage).

LAVAUX
Lavaux is a terrace wine-growing region located on the shores of the Lake Geneva. Since 2007 the bas-Lavaux has been awarded of the recognition of UNESCO “world heritage site”. This is the perfect location for a bike-riding with the full view of the lake and the French Alps. Once one needs a gastronomic pause, on the way there are plenty of winemakers that serve local products with a wonderful panorama.
To reach this region from Lausanne Gare, one can get trains in direction Vevey/Montreux/Saint-Maurice to the stops Lutry, Villette, Cully, Rivaz, St Saphorin, and Puidoux-Chexbres. The travel last around 10 to 20 minutes.

HIKING

GENEVA
This city greets the highest number of international organization in the world. To start, one can walk aside the lake and admiring the French Alpes and the lake with the characteristic Jet d’Eau. The Old Town is full of historical buildings, comprehending the Cathedral and the Reformation Wall.
Who would like to enjoy more the calm city vibe, a visit to Carouge neighborhoods is recommended. Instead, for the hiking lovers one cannot miss the opportunity of taking the Salève getaway that will take you in the hills of the French Haute-Savoie, where you can admire all the city from above.
Geneva hosts several museum, among all we would like to cite the International Museum of the Reformation, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum transports, the Patek Philippe Museum.

BERN
Bern is de facto the capital of Switzerland. The Old Town is especially medieval and it has been recognized as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The center is characterized by the Federal Palace, by Bern Münster (the Cathedral), by the Zytglogge (a medieval clock tower) and by the presence of eleven Renaissance allegorical statues on public fountains.
For the art lovers, one cannot miss the Paul Klee Center, a museum that focuses on the works of the Swiss artist.
Bern also hosts a Bear Park aside the river of the city and the Einstein House, which was a former residence of Albert Einstein.
To reach directly Bern, a intercity train can be taken from Lausanne Gare for a one-hour travel.
